Off-page SEO Optimization includes practices or actions taken off-site to impact SERP rankings. Or simply described by SEMRush, Off-page SEO put tactics applied outside of a website to improve its rankings. It’s the opposite of On page SEO which put tactics applied inside of a website to improve its rankings. i.e. internal linking, image optimization, speed etc. 

 

Optimizing off-site rankings factors involves improving search engine and user perception of a site’s popularity, trustworthiness, relevance, and authority. Accomplished by working & linking with other reputable sites, peoples, pages, etc building a relationship where promote, vouch or approve your piece of content, advice & asset.  

 

When it comes to off-page SEO backlinks are one of the most important ranking factors. Building backlinks requires a strategy that weighs Quality over Quantity. A website can have thousands of backlinks but are those links from credible websites?

If the links are not credible websites and are spammy then that would have an adverse effect on SEO Ranking. Your website will also be counted as spammy when relate to spammy websites. reminds me of a famous quote that said, a man is known by the company he keeps.
