Search Engine Optimization Seo Explained - Zabiniazi

SEO is about using the right words and serving relevant information to your potential customers on your websites.

This can be done in a few different ways.

Make sure your website contains useful information like inventory, selection, pricing, location, and hours.

Other best practices include:

  1. Create short, meaningful page titles.
  2. Use page headings that convey the subject of the page.
  3. Include a detailed “about us” section that includes contact information.
  4. A description of your business.
  5. List and Add countries where have operations.
  6. And, if it applies, store locations and opening hours.

If your website contains images and videos, make sure you describe them with alt text tags and other attributes to ensure that Google understands what they’re about and that users with disabilities can also access the content.

You should also make sure to use images to illustrate what you are selling and describe the items using keywords such as brands, colors, and descriptions of the items.

Additionally, you’ll want to pay close attention to image accuracy, descriptive wording, and relevancy of page titles.

We’ve talked about positive methods to increase the visibility of your site, but there are also not-so-positive methods. These include things like adding invisible text to a website to trick people into viewing content.

This, as well as other devious techniques designed to deceive indexing algorithms, are often described as black hat SEO and should be avoided. Google has many ways to detect techniques that intend to manipulate search rankings. These safeguards help ensure that search results remain relevant and accurate for users. As such, most of these black hat techniques don’t work and in the long run will amount to a waste of your time and money.

How SEO Works?

SEO is about using the right words and serving relevant information to your potential customers on your websites.

    Organic results vs Ads

Another important term you’ll hear as you continue to learn about Search and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is “organic.” Organic means that the search results are appearing in order of relevance to what the person typed into the search box. (Not influenced by budget or bids). Organic search results aren’t paid for or influenced by businesses. These are entirely different and separated from other slots on the search results page (SERP) that can be paid for by businesses. Those are called Ads and you’ll see them marked as Ads when they appear. Advertising with Google does not have any effect on your site’s presence in our search results.

How to Check if Your Website Is Indexed by Google

Super Easy to check if your websites live on Google OR if Google has indexed your website. Search for your website name in the search bar. If see the website domain in the search results means Google has indexed your website. You are all set.

If you do not see the website domain name in the search results, then use the specific formula designed to just do this. (Check if your domain indexed by Google.com).

Think of it or try to remember this as a formula. Using the formula, I am going to check if my personal website is indexed by Google. The formula or some might call search operator is => site:zabiniazi.com, if see my website domain name in the search results – the answer is Yes. Google has the website. With this formula, you can be 100% positive. Let’s check with another domain name. for example, check if Wikipedia is indexed. The formula is => site:Wikipedia.com. If see these results, then Wikipedia is indexed by Google and is available when users search for it.

The first method shared above paragraph does not have full confidence. For example, IF I search my name “Zabi Niazi” – the search results do not show my website in the first, 2nd, or 3rd. It shows 8th or 9th. 1st search result is LinkedIn, my LinkedIn profile shows. It’s because, LinkedIn is super SEO optimized and have greater relevancy. My website, ZabiNiazi.com is just a month old, probably in the future, I see it replace LinkedIn.

If I tried the first and not see the domain name in search results, that did not mean that my domain was not indexed. This exact reason, why I suggest checking with the site: operator. The site: operator excludes all others and just renders the website in the search results, providing full confidence and surety that my website is on Google.

How to Submit Your Website Google.com If Not Found Using [Site:]

It helps you understand whether your site is on Google and how Google Search and the world sees it. Search Console includes a wealth of information, including few metrics, you can review every week to make sure your website is getting visitors.

SEO describes the work you can do to try to improve how often your website shows up when someone types a search query into Google or another search engine. You’re probably eager to understand how you can improve how often your website shows up in the search results.

All the measures you take to make your web page rank higher on search engine results pages (SERP) falls under On-Page SEO.

This refers to everything you do outside of your site to fare better and feature higher up in Google’s SERPs.

It is largely to help Google bots successfully crawl, interpret and index all the pages of your site for future use.

Refers to all the optimization techniques which abides by Google’s Search Engine Guidelines.

This is the exact opposite of white-hat SEO in that it finds and takes advantage of any loopholes or weaknesses in Google’s search algorithm to rank better on its SERPs.

It is often used by SEO agencies due to pressure to see quick results from a client and fall in between white and black hat SEO in terms of approach.
